Dr. Bonomita Neogi Bhuyan is senior consultant in the Eye care. She completed her MBBS & DOMS from Guwahati medical college & hospital in the year 1991 & 1993 respectively.

She got trained in LASIK in 2001. Glaucoma & LASIK are the core areas of interest. She is the director of LASIK LASER EYE CARE (A subsidiary of the eye care center) & Co-director of the Ophthalmic Associates.

He has presented & published at various National & International forums .He is the winner of best poster award at All India Ocular Trauma Society Conference,2015.
• His core area of interest are Diabetic Retinopathy and its surgical manifestation ,other retinal diseases, Cataract & Dry Eyes.

DR JNANANKAR MEDHI completed his MBBS from Gauhati medical college & hospital in 1996 & MS in Ophthalmology Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Guwahati in 2003. Fellowship from Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati in 2004 & Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in 2005. He also has the Fellowship from The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston in 2012.

He was Ex- Senior Consultant, Department of Cornea, Cataract and Eye Banking & faculty of Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya (2005 – 2017). He was involved in training Resident ophthalmologists, Ophthalmic Technician/Optometry students, and as Surgical Instructor in wet labs in Cornea Society of India annual conferences

Dr. Dipak Bhuyan requires no introduction. He is regarded as the Pioneer in Cataract & Refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK/ICL) in north east India. He completed his MBBS & MS from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in the year 1984 & 1992 respectively.

He did his Phaco surgery training with Dr Howard Fine in USA in (1999) & subsequently got trained in LASIK in Germany (2001). He was associate professor at Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) GMCH & He retired as Prof & Head of the department of Ophthalmology department of Barpeta Medical college & Hospital in 2018.

Dr. Dipak Bhuyan has presented papers in various conferences organised at national and international level in addition to authoring chapter related to Ophthalmology in text books. Presently He is the Director of The EyeCare Center.

Dr.Arundhati Borthakur is senior consultant at Cornea & Anterior Segment,Lasik Laser Eyecare Center. She has completed MBBS- Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati, & M.S (Ophthalmology)- RIO, Guwahati, 1999. She has the Fellowship- Cornea & Ant. Segment 1999-2000 L.V Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad Adjunct Faculty LVPEI: 2000-2002.

The Eyecare Center performs the most sophisticated cataract surgery in the town. Equipped with Oertli™ Phacoemulsification system (from Switzerland), highest quality of surgical protocol is followed.

The Lasik Laser Eye Care is the pioneer center that deals with the refractive power correction. It was established in 2003 & is the flag bearer in this field since then. Very high refractive errors which are unfit for LASIK, are being managed by ICL.

Dry eye is a sub specialty of ophthalmology in the world of late. The Eyecare center is the pioneer institute to start a dedicated dry eye clinic in the Eastern India.

TEARLAB (from USA) was first installed in The Eyecare center in North east India & Since then thousands of patient have been screened, categorized (Mild, Moderate and Severe) & benefitted from our advanced dry eye approach. We are in the process of introducing LASER therapy for Meibonian gland disease.

It is the silent thief of vision. It is the responsibility of an ophthalmologist to diagnise it at very early stage. We diagnose quite a good number of glaucoma patients every year & save their vision throughout the life. This is possible because of the strict international protocol, state of the art equipment – OCT , Automated perimetry and Pachymetry.

All types of Vitreo- retinal surgery are being done in the Eyecare center.like retinal detachment, macular hole, vitreous haemorrhage, ERM etc.
